Welcome to Fru Fru Tulip...
A little bit about me...my name is Di and I have a bit of a soft spot for Vintage/Retro...and English Rose kitchens, the colour orange, Ercol, Holt Howard string holders, 70s decor and my guinea pigs, Dermot and Dave.  But it's vintage fabric that I just can't get enough of - I love everything about it...the most amazing designs, textures, colours, the faded worn bits, wonky hems and even the smell...well that might be pushing it!
Their previous life just draws me in and fascinates me; if only they could talk!

I've collected vintage fabric for many moons and when my stash was increasing at a fast rate of knots that's when the lampshade obsession took over.  I started making them for me and our home, but when I ran out of light fittings to hang a lampshade on, and surfaces for another vintage lamp became sparse, I decided to keep making.
In 2015, Fru Fru Tulip was born and I've been having an absolute blast ever since. I've moved work space four times because I kept out-growing it and the busier I got, the more fabric I had to purchase...YAY!  I now have a dedicated Fru Fru studio in the garden which is my happy creative place; it's full of vintage loveliness and everything I need to feed my creative busy mind and it's just perfect.
Shipping and Returns
Bespoke shades are made to order and I strive to get them sent within 5-7 working days.
Items are sent with the lovely Royal Mail 2nd class signed for (I promise that I do not use My Hermes) and a tracking number is provided so we can keep an eye on things.
Everything is wrapped and packed to within an inch of its life to ensure it arrives in one piece and looking as fabulous as it did when it was made.  All packaging used is recycled and recyclable where possible, though the odd bit of bubble wrap does sneak in sometimes...sorry.
If the lampshade doesn't quite work for you, or the lamp is too big/small for your room, that's absolutely ok; you can pop it back to me but I'm afraid you will have to pay for its return journey (Royal Mail please).  The item must be unused, in the same condition that you received it and in the original wrapping/packaging. Return within 14 days and I will either give you a full refund when I have it back at headquarters OR you may decide you would like to exchange it for something else.
I do wrap items to ensure zero damage and (touch wood) Royal Mail have been superstars, but, if your item has been damaged in transit, please contact me straight away.  A return will be arranged and a refund given once the item has been received, inspected and a tear shed.  Any return postage on damaged items will also be refunded.
Thank you for visiting my website, peruse the vintage fabric gorgeousness and please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any fabric/shade requirements that are not the website.
